This was my breakfast today…
Scrambled egg whites with nutritional yeast, a nitrate-free turkey bacon, organic spinach and organic red bell pepper. YUM!
Millions of Americans ate cereal for breakfast today, and another couple million ate bagels or some other processed grain. The problem with eating cereal (yes, even “Healthy” cereal) for breakfast is that there is NO nutritional value. None.
Cereal is what I like to call a “dead” food. 99% of cereal has been man made, colored, dried, sugared, flavored, and lord knows what else. Eating a dead food for breakfast will make you feel dead. Eating food that’s literally ALIVE, and pulsing with live enzymes and minerals, and vitamins will GIVE YOUR CELLS NEW LIFE!
Cereals, and the milk you pour over it raise your insulin sky high. And what goes up MUST come down. When your insulin comes crashing down in a few hours, you’ll be hungry, in a haze, and exhausted. Same thing with a bagel and cream cheese (why must bagels taste sooooo delicious?)
Everything you put into your body has an effect on your cells, hormones, energy levels ect. The food you eat determines the way you will look and feel. So, please, eat REAL food. Especially for breakfast. The flavor of real, fresh food is so unbelievably delicious. The energy you’ll get from a breakfast like this is worth the extra two minutes it takes to clean the pan you cooked the eggs in. I swear 🙂
Oh, and in case you want the recipe for my FAVE scrambled eggs, here you go:
