It’s rare to have and keep good friends. I was lucky enough to have been blessed with my lifelong, amazing friend Cortni. We’ve known each other since we were twelve. She’s hilarious (as seen in the video), honest, and a true free spirit!
She’s always been a very petite, slender beauty. She has not and will never have a problem with gaining weight because she has the metabolism of a rabbit. Regardless, she’s taken a general interest in fitness lately.
She quit smoking two years ago (or thereabout), started yoga every morning, and has accompanied me to the gym a couple times.
After Cortni stopped by today, I decided to share my Sunday routine with her. If the weather is nice, I love to do my Sunday workouts in the sun. My Sunday workouts are usually a “hodge-podge” of whatever my body is asking for.
Today was a pretty well rounded, full body day. Although I’m guessing Cortni’s legs are probably going to be the most sore tomorrow *insert maniacal laugh here*.
One of the main things that will probably stand out from this video is the fact that we’re messing around/laughing hysterically most of the time. Despite that fact, we still got a great sweat in, and a pretty productive workout.
Fitness doesn’t have to be so serious. It can be fun! Grab a friend (a hilarious one), and laugh your asses off…. Preferably while doing sprints & carrying her on your back.
Here’s what we did:
Lunges with water gallon jugs
sidewalk jumps with squat
walk out, pushup, walk back
one leg squats on a bench
hill sprints (with or without a friend on your back)
cooldown with upward and downward yoga and quad strech
P.S. Cortni is a representative of Take A Stand, an organization dedicated to drug awareness, and putting a stop to the recent drug epidemic that is effecting families and teens in the midwest.
