There was a party at my house this weekend…a salad party 🙂 I put on a salad extravaganza for you. Why? Because salads get a bad rap! They’re thought of as boring, typical, cliche health food. But if you know what you’re doing, salads can actually be SO delicious…
I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking I sound like one of those delusional health nuts, who’ve tricked themselves into believing that leaves taste good. You’re probably thinking, “this wacko may love salads, but I need REAL FOOD!!!!!”…I know you’re thinking that because I used to think like that too.
But after 9 years in the health and fitness industry, I’ve learned some crazy tricks about flavor enhancement, cooking, and being an overall badass…that last one is for a different post though.
Basically, when you enjoy the food you’re eating, it’s going to be easier to KEEP eating it. And finding a way to make VEGETABLES taste appealing to you is crucial, because you NEED them to get lean. I’ve grown to love vegetables. You might even say I’m crazy about them! I don’t know anyone else who can talk about fennel, spinach, and tomatoes for 4 hours (like I did for this video, before editing).
Try any one of these salads, and tell me they don’t taste 100% better than any Big Mac, Ruffle Chip, or M&M!
